Kubernetes is an orchestration platform for container based applications. It automates the deployment processes, scaling and management of containerized microservices based applications.

Adoption

Kubernetes is the de facto standard for implementing and deploying container based cloud native applications. Based on the Google experience, Kubernetes is an open source solution adopted by all the important companies.

An important advantage of Kubernetes is portability. All major cloud providers are offering hosting solutions absed on Kubernetes. K8S clusters can be hosted in AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and even on premises.

NetSoft and Kubernetes

Experience

NetSoft offers Kubernetes based solutions starting with mid 2017. Early adoption of this novel technology allowed us to accumulate the necessary know-how and experience for implementing successfully multiple Kubernetes based projects. We have provisioned and we are maintaining k8s clusters starting with development and test environments, up to the backend of a complex microservice ecosystem based web and mobile multimedia application with tens of thousands of users and autoscaling.

Scalability

Kubernetes includes a number of scaling mechanisms, both at application level and infrastructure level. The scaling can be based on load, efficiency and other metrics. Kubernetes has three scalign tools: horizontal pod autoscaling HPA, vertical pod scaling VPA and cluster level scaling. The latter works at infrastructure level. As a result using these technics flexible, resilient and cost efficient applications can be implemented.

Design

Based on the customer specifications and requests we design a well suited Kubernetes solution in terms as architecture, size, scaling and costs.

PROVISIONING

Using the architectural design agreed with the customer, we implement the new Kubernetes solution by provisioning, configuration and careful testing.

MIGRATION

When transition is needed from the old solution to the new one, we provide support for it.

Monitoring

The status and functionality of the Kubernetes cluster managed by us are monitored carefully. Thus we can take action proactively to prevent possible issues and fix them in a timely manner.

DevOps

We provide support for harmonizing software development and deployment with IT infrastructure operations using DevOps/GitOps/Helm.

Technical support

We provide good quality, highly skilled and human technical support both directly towards the customer and his software development team.
